Spun from a Copperpot roving (Wranglers & Rustlers) as an erratic loosely spun single. Abused in the washing to felt it lightly.

The general idea was to emulate Manos del Uruguay. I think I got about 40% of the way there!

It knits up like this (this on 6mm/US 10)

Would be good for felting,  needle felting, weaving, or any mixed media project in need of a little texture.

This ball has either 92 yards or 78 yards, sorry I am not sure which. I’m putting a value of $15 (£10) on this, for information only.

I don’t see why Woolgathering should have all the PS3 fun. Here’s some fiery goodness to be looking at until something non-fibrous comes along.

This is my new drop spindle with some soy silk fibre. Not to mention my first efforts at drop spindling!

Towards the end of March I’ll produce some kind of photo collection summary of the theme to post here. In the meantime, my Flickr stream is looking very different to usual, due entirely to PS3 participation.

Some of the work that I did at Craft Group on Monday night might just fit in the theme. I want to do some finishing off and then I’ll assess the work and see what I think. I made another sheet of silk paper and three greetings cards using the papers made at the previous meeting. I seemed to be developing an Oriental flavour, with just a dash of seaweed savoury on the side

Spinning, Knitting, and The Sanday Spinners are all contriving to keep me busy and out of the workroom – but I shall be back.

1) a Ravelry yarn stash trade yielded two skeins of possibility. One is red Aran weight wool, which I shall certainly knit up for Project Spectrum. The other skein is a multi-hued Noro wonder which may have to be kept for stroking purposes, though it will probably find its way into a number of mixed media projects and swap parcels.

2) a surprise PX package full of wondrous goodies, from *lougael*

Photos have been taken. Photos have not yielded good results. Batteries will be inserted and photos will be re-taken

eBay bargain cotton threads for the craft room. Maybe I will finally get that sewing machine out!
