thanks for the link, it looks good, but i came to the conclusion ages ago that any wool/yarn crafts are not my bag baby(lol). i dont knit, i cant crochet or sew. and handling yarn like that for knitting etc, makes my hands get itchy, my skin is dodgy like that. the only wool i do use is funky fibers for embellishments or book arts.

just incase you are interested, i have a large bag full of merino fibers for spinning or felt work. i got them a few years ago just before i had my boy so now i dont have the space to attempt to wet felt. let me know.

A drop spindle is a cheap way of starting to spin – you can make one from a length of dowel and an old CD. There’s a posh version here

I had a nervousness account,but have never used it. The rule bound nature of the site just freaks me out. I have stayed clear and prefer the informal nature of swapping via mailing lists etc.

I would be happy to do a swap some time, though I am not very confident in my art yet. I might even be willing to host a swap here at Fairhand…

hiya im not a member of swapbot, i tend to be a bit of a stick in the mud when it comes to websites i am not familier with. i am a diehard nervousness.org member and have been for a few years.
anyway, whether you want to join new communties or not. would you like to have a near neighbourly mail art swap buddy?
i am into altered books, art journals and art decos booklets, but i also like to make other things. let me know, i like some of the creations you have shown here

Well, looking at the disaster, I figure that we reached the “Soft ball” stage, rather than the “hard crack” – despite having deployed a digital thermometer (and new batteries in it)

This is filling-removing stuff (uit quite tasty). We want to try Nigella’s recipe next week, and see if that works any better.
