Envie-making
I have my addresses in for the next Swap-bot swap. I need to make two by two envelopes by the 12th April. I would like to make them today, if I can. I don’t know why, but making envelopes is one of my favourite activities. I get a lot of pleasure from it.
If I make the envies today, there’s a fair chance that I can get them in the post tomorrow afternoon if we go to Kettletoft for some weekend supplies. Then I’ll get them out under the current postage rates.
Both packages are going to the States. I never seem to draw UK or European swapmates!
I added up, in a vague sort of way, the postage costs for my last few weeks’ mailings.
I cannot continue with regular trans-Atlantic swaps. I just can’t. That’s a shame, because that is where most of the swappers are. It’s just that it’s costing a small fortune, and I have no income. I feel dreadful guilt when I find myself handing over a tenner at a time in the post office. And, frankly, if I have a spare tenner in the housekeeping, I think I’d rather buy some supplies or a ball of yarn. Supplies on the basics side are running very low: paper, card, ink pads, glue, double-sided sticky tape…
Oh, woe!

Hi Beth, Glad to see you liked the pictures I sent you. I don’t quite know what you are talking about sometimes, like what exactly IS a swap-bot? Some kind of trade? Maybe you might offer to trade arts or crafts for the supplies that you are running low on?? Still hope to hear from you one of these days … All the best, Louise
