Postcard X

STOP PRESS: I currently have stamps available to send Airmail postcards or letters up to 10gms in weight to anywhere in the world outside Europe. Most of the packets I have waiting to go out are heavier than this – so I have stamps to spare. Feel free to beg a postcard or small envelope from me!

This is my PostcardX profile, which I am maintaining here due to the trolling vandalism happening over at PX at the moment. Some people just do not know how to play nice.

ME I live on a small island (3 miles by 12) off the north coast of Scotland. I like to make things but have to settle for process over product, as I am not very good at anything at all. I play with fibres (knit, spin, felt) and paper/glue/paint/ink – just trying to find my creative niche. It must be in there, somewhere… I share my life with my partner, 3 cats, and 3 dogs. I love unexpected mail and I try to reciprocate but organisation does not come easily to me. I am scatter brained and forgetful. Too often I lose myself in watching the sea and the birds and seals. Everything else gets forgotten. If you ever send me something and feel miffed that I didn’t send you something in return, just remind me – it was not a deliberate forgetting. Been kicking around PX for a while now. I love the hand made stuff that comes my way, and especially envelopes stuffed with nonsense/hand-made stuff/ephemera/craft materials – there is so much that I do not have access to here, and art and craft supplies are hard to come by so unexpected gifts are appreciated in ways you can probably scarcely imagine… **Please** tell me if you don’t want items sent to me to be scanned and blogged. I give acknowledgments, always, but am happy not to publish your work if you prefer me not to. FOR YOU I can send scenic Orkney postcards, home-made postcards, bad ATCs, photographs, craft materials, handspun yarn, wishes and dreams, recipes, stories… anything that doesn’t have to be bought from a shop! I love to make mail art envelopes, but I can’t promise that they will be very good. Ask me, and it’s yours (eventually — sometimes I don’t have the stamp money available) You don’t even have to send me anything first. Just ask… leave a comment here – I enjoy making the connection.

Here is a list of items sent and received. One day I may get the time and the ease in my sore arm to be able to scan and upload images of everything I have enjoyed about PX…
